    Deadlines and Submission

    Submission Deadline

    All student teams seeking feedback on their plans must submit five hard copies of their social venture plan by 2 p.m. on Friday, 22 January 2010 to 360 TNRB. Teams must resubmit two hard copies and one electronic copy of their plan with any changes before 5 p.m. on Thursday, 5 February 2010.

    Venture Plan Submission

    Each of the copies of the social venture plan must include in this order:

    1. Cover Page List the name of the venture and the primary contact person’s name, phone, and email information.
    2. Plan The body of the plan cannot be more than twenty pages in length including tables, graphs, photos, etc. Pages must be numbered.
      • Executive Summary Must concisely describe the content of the venture plan.
      • Social Impact Analysis A detailed assessment of the venture's social impact. This analysis is independent of any financial returns on investment. (Please check out the socialventure.byu.edu web site under “Resources” for helps.)
      • Other Sections Winning plans aid the judges in understanding the proposed venture and in answering the judging criteria questions.
    3. Appendices These should be included only when they support the body of the plan. Teams should keep in mind that many judges will not read items in the appendices; therefore, all pertinent information should be stated in the body of the plan.

    Certifications and Agreements Form

    Each team must submit one hard copy of the SVC Certifications and Agreements Form completed and signed by each team member. Plans will not be accepted unless they consent to the complete agreement. Please click here to download this form.
